a pink Christmas in July...

Hey!

 I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend...I certainly have :)  I would like to say thank you to all you lovely lovelies who have stopped by my blog and left comments, and also to those who just came for a nose!  I appreciate that you still stop by even though I've been MIA :)  I love blogland, don't you?!

 I was snooping checking out some blogs the other day and I saw this one by Ardyth.  It has occurred to me that Christmas, in crafting terms, really isn't that far away and that I ought to get my finger out of my 'nose' (I thought I should be polite!) and get some Christmas card making underway.  I haven't participated in the Festive Friday challenge before so I thought I'd give it a go :)  The challenge this time is to make a Christmas project using the colours pink, white and silver.  I LOVE non-traditional Christmas colours so I was in there like swimwear!

How pretty is that inspiration picture!!?  I hope those are little square 'biscuit-tiles' (yes, I just made that up) because they look scrumptious...almost too good to eat! :)

 Here is my pink, white and silver Christmas card contribution...

Once again, my inability to photograph glitter has let me down and so unless you zoom in on this picture you can't see the sparkly sparkles on my snowflake :(  If you don't want to/can't click on it then you'll just have to take my word for it that it's there.  I'm still not sure about this card...one minute I like it, the next I'm not sure?  Maybe it'll be a 'grower' - I hope so :)

    This is so lovely that once I get my new Stampin up order with the Festive Flurries Dies, I may have to CASE this card!! --------I haven't even placed the order and I can't wait!!! (LOL)

    I think the pic is nice and bright and great! It highlights the lovely pink and glittery silver!

    Very beautiful! (I feel the same way about the challenge photo, instead of making cards, I want to make gorgeous fondant covered cookies just like that [and eat them].)
